I am a native Utahn, an electrical engineering manager, and a father of four. I was born in Provo, but have lived in Davis County for the last 5 years. I earned my Masters of Science in Computer Engineering from BYU and currently work at L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City as both a technical lead and a manager overseeing the development of communications technology for the Department of Defense.
I care most about making our elections more fair and representative. In election after election Utahns are forced to choose between the lesser of two evils because our voting system artificially restricts our choices and discourages alternative voices. With small changes to how we vote and run elections, we could have better choices, better outcomes, and better representation.
I am currently the Davis County Chair of the United Utah Party, a moderate centrist third party founded in 2017. I am also the Vice President and Director of Advocacy for Utah Approves, a non-partisan 501c4 that advocates for adopting Approval Voting and other election reforms here in the state. In that role I have worked with leaders and election officials at the city, county, and state levels to improve how we vote.
